GENERATION RECYCLE -
Luxury Sustainable Swimwear
GEN-RE stands for Generation Recycle. Our brand ethos revolves around sustainability and the importance of recycling within the textile industry.
Generation Recycle offers high quality luxury sustainable swimwear that is 'Sexy with a Conscience'. What sets Gen-re's sustainable luxury swimwear apart is its commitment to both aesthetics and ethics. Generation recycle is proving that eco-consciousness doesn't mean sacrificing luxury, style, or quality. Through innovative techniques, recycled materials are elevated to a luxurious status, offering a guilt-free indulgence for the environmentally-minded shopper. From sleek silhouettes to versatile pieces, these swimsuits embody 'sexy with a conscience'.
How we are sustainable:
GEN-RE SWIM uses ECONYL®, a recycled nylon yarn regenerated from industrial waste, ghost fishing nets collected from our oceans and plastic bottles. This yarn is then used to create our material, VITA® by Carvico - an innovative techno-fabric that is hyper resistant to chlorine/sun creams, has high UV protection and is breathable. Our swimwear is produced in a small, family-owned manufacturer in Lisbon, Portugal.
It was a main focus of the brand to not only make the swimwear as sustainable as possible, but also to carry that focus through to all other aspects of the business.
Our biodegradable garment tags are made with Lavender Seed Paper, meaning once removed from the garment you can plant your own lavender plant. The stickers used are made from cellulose fiber and printed with soy based inks - an eco alternative to petroleum based inks, which can be recycled/biodegradeable.
The mailer boxes used to deliver your sexy new swimwear are made from 90% up-cycled Kraft cardboard which is also recyclable. GEN-RE SWIM may have a higher price tag than that of fast fashion brands but you are paying for transparency and a clear conscious, as well of course the most flattering swimwear on the market.
GEN-RE SWIM is working towards becoming Net Zero and soon will have the organisation's carbon footprint and reduction plan published online.
We hope you love your swimwear but if for some reason you wish to return please email info@gen-reswim.com and we will process a returns form for you. Please note we will not accept returns past the 14 day period and the item must be in sellable condition ie not worn with all stickers/tags attached.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
GEN-RE SWIM was founded by Irish born Kate Kenneally in 2021. Kate moved to Manchester, UK in 2018 to pursue a career in Fashion Buying. After landing a role at one of the biggest fast-fashion houses in the industry Kate soon learnt that she was part of the problem contributing to these malpractices and quit mid-pandemic. Kate started GEN-RE SWIM to provide an eco-alternative to fast-fashion swimwear and provide transparency on how a brand can operate with a cleaner supply chain whilst not compromising on style based in the UK.
